Liantek was founded by passionate trained language experts and educators with a vision to establish Timor-Leste's first specialized training for translators and interpreters. Located in Dili, we deliver hands-on, practical training, focusing on cutting-edge technology for both aspiring and experienced language professionals.
Our comprehensive programs cover learning about Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools to advanced Simultaneous Interpretation (SI) techniques. We ensure our trainees are prepared to confidently navigate and excel in the rapidly changing industry by effectively integrating new technologies into their work.

CAT-Tools
Specialized Training on Computer-Assisted Translation Tools
- • Create and manage translation projects, translation memories (TMs), technical glossaries.
- • This course is designed to significantly improve your consistency and boost productivity as a translator.
- • Accessible: No previous knowledge of CAT tools is necessary.
- • Flexible Learning: Use your personal computer.
- • Small Class Size: Limited to 10-15 participants for personalized attention. Also available for one-on-one sessions.
Interpretation
Simultaneous/Consecutive with trained and experienced trainers
- • Cognitive, linguistic, and technical skills essential for interpreting in real time.
- • Specialized interpretation equipment for realistic scenarios practice (booths and equipment)
- • Small Class Setting: Limited to 7-10 participants for focused learning. Also available for one-on-one sessions.
- • Language Proficiency: Participants should possess an excellent command of the working languages (minimum B1 level in English or Portuguese) and Tetum (native or near-native speakers).
